Please make sure you register the room under the same name
as your conference registration, we will be cross checking names
for the bloc k of rooms to be credited to our account. If you are
staying on for ATHA, indicate to reservations this new organization
for those dates. ATHA also has a separate online page or when
calling give both groups when making your room reservation for the
whole week.  

The TIGHR Conference begins on Sunday, September 20, 2009 with
registration Noon-2:00 In the Exhibition Hall. We have a hospitality
room for early arrivals to mingle on Saturday evening , Sept 19 and
the hotel rate is extended two days prior to start and after.

A business meeting with by-law updates, new and old business, and
the election of the new board is scheduled 2-4pm Sunday,
afternoon.  Our intent is to be able to mentor the new board through
the three days, introducing them to members and helping  in the
transfer of jobs.
This is a new format for rughooking conferences.... we are
focusing on opportunities to meet friends, make new ones and
get a taste of some knowledge, conversations without bringing
all our tools or going home with one more half done project.

Monday is presentations day, short sessions on a variety of topics of

Monday our Luncheon theme is Celebrate 15 Years applauding our
founders and past. It is included in your registration fee along with
breakfast both Monday and Tuesday.and the
Tuesday's lunch: Looking Toward the Future which will include
our Auction to Benefit TIGHR
A special added event, (with extra registration at the Conference on
Sunday,) is a bus trip and dinner at the STRIPES: Japan/America rug
exhibit in the Carnegie Center for Art & History, New Albany, IN on
Tuesday evening 6-9pm
Dinner and evening entertainment is on your own, Sunday, Monday
and Tuesday evenings, our Hospitality committee will have  plenty
of suggestions within walking distance. Spouses can plan outings by
meeting in the Exhibit Hall.

All through the three days the Exhibit Hall will be open displaying
our exchange squares and recycled materials rugs.  It can be used to
continue conversations with world-wide friends on topics brought up
in the presentations.  There will also be a networking table where
you can put literature about a camp, event, product or your business
cards.  Remember TIGHR encourages friendship and this
conference is planned with many opportunities to develop new
and old friends.
Stay on for VENDORS, Rug Exhibit and workshops at the ATHA
conference which begins Wed, Sept 23, the vendors and exhibit are
open as of 9:00am Thursday, Sept 24. Although full attendance to
this event is encouraged. A $15 fee will get you into the vendors
